Nintendo Proudly Announces the 3ds!

Many of you might know the DS.  Then came the DS Lite, then came the DSI  Then came the DSI XL.  Well now Nintendo has created a new masterpiece!  Its called the Nintendo 3ds!  Its a DS that is 3D!  Here is a look at it!
In America, the 3ds is available at launch in 2 different colors, Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black!  The 3ds is available at game retailers such as Gamestop on March 27th, 2011!  In America it costs $249.99 plus tax.  So with tax an estimated cost is $259.99.  This DS features a 10% larger screen on the top that is 3D! The bottom screen is the touch screen.  Both screens are capable of projecting over 16.77 million colors!  Here are some other features...
This DS also includes 3 cameras, 1 inner camera to take a picture of yourself to insert into some games, and 2 outer cameras to take 3D photos!  On the right of the top 3D screen, there is a feature called the depth slider.  It allows you to control how much 3D the screen projects making the 3D just right for you!  And if you don't want 3D, you can simply just turn off the 3D!  One obvious difference from previous DS's is the circle pad just above the arrow pad.  The circle pad is used for precise movements of your character making gaming alot more fun and enjoyable!  There are 2 awesome things besides what we have already talked about.  There is a home bottom just below the bottom touch screen that when pushed it will pause all gaming action and take you to the home screen.  Then you can simply resume your game!  The controls are basically the same with an a,b,y, x and r button on the right.  And a arrow pad and the new circle pad and the L buttons on the left.  And on the left there is an SD card slot.  Each 3ds comes with a 2 GB card but you can upgrade from there.
The Nintendo 3ds can hold up to 3-6 hours of battery depending on the brightness and 3d settings.  Charging your DS has never been easier because instead of plugging it in, all Nintendo 3ds's come with a charging cradle.  Your Nintendo 3ds can even charge in sleep mode!

There is much more to this DS such as Mii Maker, Street Pass and Spot Pass.  To learn more about the Nintendo 3ds, visit the official site at http://www.nintendo.com/3ds

Honestly, you can just buy those games off of the Nintendo DSi Shop.  So is you already have a DSi, its a waste of your money to get the DSi XL.  They are basicly the same thing!

DSi

The Nintendo DSi made a game changing day on April 5, 2009.  With its cameras to its sleek design.  The DSi was a new era in portable gaming.  Lets start with the basics.
At launch it was available in black and blue, and now pink and white in Japan.  It was again re-designed from the DS Lite but with tons new features.  Its now thin with larger screens (3.25 inches).  A re-done home page and most importantly, cameras!
There is a inward facing camera to allow the user to take photos of him or herself.  And an outward facing camera to take pictures of friends or anything else.  These cameras arnt very clear but are still good.  You can take and save photos.  Render them with 10 different lenses and save them to an SD card.  There is an SD card slot on the right to insert SD cards.  The DSi includes improved sound and a sound feature that lets you record sounds and edit them how you would like. You can play music also.
The micro phone is located in the center to the right of the inward facing camera.  With the DSi you can visit the DSi shop where you can download games for DSi shop points just like the Wii shop.  To get this feature your DSi must be connected to Nintendo Wi-fi connection first.  The games are called DSi Ware.
You can also browse the Internet using the DSi Browser.  You can get this feature for free form the DSi Shop!  That is just at little about the DSi.  Click here to learn more about the Nintendo DSi

DS Lite

The DS Lite was the 2nd DS in the series.  It first appeared on June 11, 2006, it was VERY popular.  The DS Lite was an addition to the Original DS with the same features such at Pictochat and Game Boy games player.
It was re-designed so that is was alot thinner, and the screens are the same size but are closer together and joined by a streamlined hinge for games.  The micro phone was in a better spot, the center and the stylus was bigger.
So as you can see, there are no major diferences from the original DS other then it being alot thinner and smaller.  You can find the DS Lite at MOST game retailers such as Gamestop!
